Band Biography

Fallen Prophet was formed in the latter half of 2013 in Łódź by former musicians from the no longer existing thrash-speed band Halo of Lies - bassist Marcin Marchel and drummer Bartek Kosowski joined forces with Michał Marchel (rhythm guitars), creating the basis of the first line-up of the band. After Marcin Szmejda joined as vocalist and Krzysztof Zygmunt as lead guitarist, the musicians went ahead and released their first material - the demo "Live in Studio" containing five original compositions recorded live, but without the audience. The first line-up disbanded at the end of 2014 after playing few concerts, and the following years brought constant line-up changes and cessation of concert and studio activity. It was not until 2017 that the band returned to activity - the Marchel brothers were joined by: Michał Mroczek as lead guitarist, Patryk Kapłonek as drummer, and Olaf Kołodziej became the vocalist. In this line-up, the band recorded their first studio material - the demo "None of the Above" (released in 2018). After changing the lead guitarist (Michał Mroczka was replaced by Kamil Turzyński), the band planned to go on their first tour across Poland, but these plans were thwarted by the Covid-19 pandemic and the lockdown. Before the band returned to live performances, the last line-up change took place - Marek Siedlecki became the new vocalist. After the strickest lockdown rules were lifted, the band reminded everyone of their existence by participating in recordings of the RecOrder session (once again following the "live in the studio" formula), and from mid-2021 they returned to regular concerts. The experience gained during live performances and the rapidly growing base of songs encouraged the musicians to record their first professional studio release - in 2023, the 5-track EP "Sentenced to Suffer" premiered. Encouraged by the warm reception of the material, the band decided to continue their good run and began recording their first full-length album in 2024. The first 3 songs - known from concerts "Dark Age", "Killzone" and "Bionic Overdose" are to be released in 2025 as singles with accompanying music videos as an introduction to a new chapter in the history of Fallen Prophet...
